Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is one of the most popular, non-invasive procedures in the United States today. The procedure promotes the production of new cells in the basal (deepest) layers of the dermis and stimulates the growth of collagen to further smooth and improve skin tone and appearance. Also, known as a mini-procedure, it involves the skin being "sandblasted" by removing the stratum corneum (top) layer of the skin (dead skin cells). There are two techniques of microdermabrasion today: with crystals and without crystals.
